PORTLAND, Maine – October 1, 2020 – Bristol Seafood is pleased to announce it earned a place on SeafoodSource’s Top 25 North American Seafood Suppliers – Sustainability & Conservation list. “Sustainability and conservation are at the center of our mission to make seafood America’s favorite protein.” noted Peter Handy, President & CEO at Bristol, “Earning a place on this list is an important validation for the work we do and energizes us to continue to find ways to move sustainability and conservation forward.”
According to SeafoodSource, the list was comprised using panelist recommendations and accounting for “leadership, industry accolades and recognition, pioneering initiatives, partnerships, and industry engagement. This resulting list is one that, we feel, catalogs best practices for driving the industry onward and upward, providing valuable insight into the inner workings of some of the seafood’s most promising and prominent sustainability trailblazers.”
“Bristol is honored and proud to be named to the Top 25 Seafood Sustainability & Conservation list this year, the Top 25 Seafood Product Innovations by Seafood Source last year, and is the first seafood company in the US to earn a Fair Trade certification.
