Production Jobs:

Our primary production shift begins at 5:30 a.m. and runs Monday through Friday. Many positions require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

The Fillet Department: We run both a hand-cutting line and a machine line to process whole fish into fillets and other cuts.  Positions include hand cutting, trimming, machine operations, packing, and production assistants.

The Scallop Department: Scallops from around the world are processed in our facility.  Graders, packers and production helpers are key department positions.

Plant Services Department: The crew in this department handles various services for production including box making, maintenance and sanitation. Plant Services operate shifts that extend beyond the processing day.

Shipping and Receiving:

All incoming and outgoing products are controlled here.  The department runs from 5:00 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Friday, with overlapping coverage.  CDL class B drivers for our interstate short haul routes and airport deliveries are part of this department.

Administrative and Sales Office:

SALES MANAGER – location East Coast

Outstanding opportunity to join the sales team of a progressive and growing private New England seafood processor.  Want to become a member of the world class team at Maine’s fastest growing seafood business – home of the world’s first Fair Trade scallop?

Bristol Seafood is looking to hire a Sales Manager.  The successful candidate will be located on the East Coast and will be responsible for new account development, current account maintenance and enhancement and achievement of sales and profit budgets.

This is a hands on selling and account management position reporting directly to the VP of Sales.  The successful candidate will be self-motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic and tenacious.  Compensation will be based on experience and includes eligibility for commissions and team bonuses.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities include:

  • Knowledge of seafood market and competition as well as seafood sales experience.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and manage existing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including over-the-phone consultative selling and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business ethic and professional integrity as well as ability to uphold organizational values.
  • Computer knowledge and skills (Salesforce and Microsoft Office).

Education Requirements

4 year Degree and 2 years of related experience.
