Bristol Brings Fair Trade to Pacific Northwest

PORTLAND, Maine – May 10, 2018 – Bristol Seafood, in partnership with Ocean Beauty Seafood, will offer its Fair Trade Certified sea scallops at Kroger-owned Quality Food Centers in the Pacific Northwest beginning in May.

“We are proud to partner with Ocean Beauty and QFC to make Bristol Fair Trade scallops available to consumers throughout the Pacific Northwest,” said Peter Handy, President and CEO of Bristol Seafood.

With 63 full-service supermarkets in operation across the Puget Sound region of Washington, and in Portland, Oregon, QFC greatly expands the regional availability of Bristol’s flagship Fair Trade product.

“Our customers value wild-caught, sustainably-harvested, socially responsible seafood options, and Bristol’s Fair Trade scallop delivers on those values,” noted Josh Dooley, Meat & Seafood Manager at QFC.

Mary French, Procurement Manager at Ocean Beauty, added “At Ocean Beauty, we work hard to source quality seafood in a sustainable and socially responsible manner. Our partnership with Bristol Seafood for our scallops enables us to accomplish this on a consistent basis, and we are proud to make Bristol Fair Trade scallops available in the Pacific Northwest for the very first time.”
